My name is Andrea Jette and I have the honor of being the assistant principal at Howe Elementary. I live in Castleton, NY with my husband Greg, and two kids Everleigh (5), and Carson (1). 

To prepare for the Assistant Principal role, my career in education started as a Teaching Assistant at Parsons Child & Family Center. During my time at Parsons, I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Childhood Education and my Masters Degree in Students With Disabilities both from the College of Saint Rose. After a short time being a Teaching Assistant, I became a Special Education Teacher, teaching students in grades 3,4, and 5. I spent 12 years at Parsons, and after the birth of my son accepted a position as a Special Education Teacher in the Averill Park School District. During my years teaching and from great mentors, my passion grew to become an administrator! As the assistant principal at Howe, I am committed to building relationships and creating a safe, strong learning environment for students and teachers.

During my free time, I enjoy spending it with my family outdoors, hiking, traveling,watching Musicals, playing and watching sports. We are avid Mets fans, but a house divided when it comes to Football! (Bills & Bengals) We enjoy taking trips to the Ocean, Cape Cod and Florida (especially Disney!)
