Arrival

• Students may arrive at 7:40am.  

• Parents drop students off at the front entrance where staff will escort them to the gym. Their teacher will pick them up at 7:45am.

• Teachers are unable to come out to speak individually with parents during this time however you can email, write a note, or call the office and leave a message for your child’s teacher to set up an appointment at a time when they are not teaching or supervising children.

Dismissal

• Dismissal will begin at 2:25 pm for the busers. Students being picked up by car in the back parking lot will be dismissed at 2:35pm.  Everyone else will dismiss at 2:40pm.

 Children will be released by their teacher at the doors outlined below.  Please be on time for pick up.

• Children will only be released to adults that are on the Emergency Contact Form so please be sure to update these throughout the year if any information changes.

• We expect buses to depart by 2:30pm.  If your child is a busser but will be picked up, you must call the office before 2:00 pm so your child is not placed on the bus.

• Every child who is routed on a bus is put on the bus daily – unless we have it in writing OR the main 

  office has received a phone call.  

• If your child is going home in a way they don’t normally, please send a note to your child’s teacher or call the main office. If we do not hear from you, your child will be dismissed in the manner they normally would.

• If you are signing your child out early, please be here NO LATER than 2:15pm. 

Dismissal Doors/Areas - Walkers will be dismissed from the following locations:

 A Wing Doors (front doors closest to Stuben St.) – Murphy, Smith, Tompkins, Bonardi

B Wing Doors (if facing the building, set of doors to the right of the main entrance) – Surak, Izzo, LeMorta, 

Levandusky

C Wing Doors (if facing the building, set of doors to the left of the main entrance) – Andrea, Carpenter, Palmer

D Wing Doors (front doors closest to McClyman St.) – Walkers only from Baron, Googas, Hoyt, Spray

Courtyard on McClyman Street - Hamm/Gabelman, Reyes/Ramroop

Courtyard on Stanley Street between B wing and Main Entrance - Giardono

Courtyard on Stanley Street between C wing and D wing - Barrett

Main Entrance – Grimm, Gaul, Suggs, Amedore, Shelton, Hart

Pick-Up by Car for Kindergarten and First Grade Only will be in the back parking lot off McClyman St.

For: Hamm/Gabelman, Reyes/Ramroop, Spray, Hoyt, Baron, Googas

Important Reminders

1.    Traffic will be one way on Stanley Street going in the direction of McClyman Street (Eastbound) during school arrival and dismissal times (7:35am-8:15am and 2:20pm-2:55pm).  You must enter by way of Steuben Street.

2.      The middle lane is for moving traffic only.  Even if you see your child coming out of the building, do not stop in the middle lane to get them.  Our staff will keep them safe until you find an appropriate parking spot to leave your car or if you need to circle around the block.

3.      The right lane (our side of the road) will be reserved for buses, Amazing Grace and drop offs but not parking and leaving your car.

4.      Everyone will continue coming in through the front of the building for arrival.  We will have staff members on the curb to help direct your children to the inside of the building.  If you must get out of your car, you’ll need to park on one of the side streets.  You cannot leave your car on Stanley Street.

5.    Kindergarteners and First Graders who are picked up by car will dismiss out the doors on McClyman Street and in the back of the building.  It is important your child’s teacher knows how they are getting picked up - by a walking adult or a car.
