Lincoln is a community school which means we utilize the assets of the entire community, including the talents and gifts of people who live and work here, community partners and the schools, to support the needs of each child. In addition to the traditional academic needs, we also support our students' social, emotional and behavioral needs.
Among our community partners are the Boys & Girls Club, Schenectady County Sheriff's Department, Northeast Parent and Child Society, Hometown Health Centers, Lincoln Reading Mentors, Reading is Fun Program, Niskayuna Rotary, Aaron's Rental, Kohl's, Capital Area School Development Association and Calvary Tabernacle Church.
Our Vision Statement: We will be the gold standard of community schools: A proud learning community where diversity is celebrated and the success of the whole child is embraced.
Our Mission Statement: We believe every child can and will learn, and it's our job to ensure that it happens ... whatever it takes!
Lincoln Lions benefit from skilled classroom teachers, dedicated paraprofessionals, four reading specialists, two social workers, a behavior specialist, a dean of students, a community school coordinator, a mental health counselor, many volunteers and a free after school program.
Every student's path to graduation will include caring adults at all levels who can help students meet academic expectations, plan for the future and feel connected to our school.
We provide a variety of options that allow students to succeed by participating in programs that are designed to spark individual interests and keep kids engaged.
We provide resources and support to ensure that every student has an opportunity to navigate a path to graduation and beyond.
