Christina Howard joined the Schenectady City School District in September of 2015 as an Assistant Principal at Van Corlaer Elementary School. Christina moved in the 2019-2020 school year to become the Principal of Pleasant Valley Elementary School. Mrs. Howard has 20 years of experience in education, 8 as an administrator. Prior to coming to Schenectady, she was an English teacher at Hackett Middle School in Albany. Mrs. Howard is married and has two children.

Christina has her BA degree in Psychology and a BA in English from The Sage Colleges, a Master of Arts in Teaching from SUNY Albany, and her School District Administrator Certificate (SDA).
