Terrence Sloan, Instructional Supervisor
Terrence is in his second year serving as the Instructional Supervisor at Woodlawn Elementary and has been a member of the Schenectady City School since 2006.
Mr. Sloan began his career in Schenectady as an Elementary teacher. Mr. Sloan has taught 4th,5th and 6th grades primarily with a concentration in Reading and Math. Mr. Sloan has also served as an District Instructional Coach. During this time he worked with teams of teachers in various capacities focusing on best practices in classroom instruction and management. Mr. Sloan has served on various committees with the most recent being for the selection of both Math and ELA curriculum for the district. Terrence's additional roles in the district were Varsity Boys Soccer Coach and Section 2 Soccer committee for 12 years.
Mr. Sloan holds a Bachelor's degree In Elementary Education from SUNY Oneonta with a concentration in Child Development. Additionally Mr. Sloan holds a Master in Education with a focus in Math and Literacy from Walden university, and a masters in Educational Administration from SUNY Plattsburgh.
