"Dads bring your children to school day" was a huge success. 354 dad and male figures representing four Schenectady community schools, Hamilton, King, Paige and Keane, brought their kids to school Thursday. While students posed for a photo and then headed to class, their dads spent part of their morning engaging with one another, school leadership and the school parent liaisons.

This nationwide fatherhood engagement event began in 2007 as an outreach initiative to help fathers engae in their children's education. It presents an opportunity for dad to get to know one another and for schools to get to know the dad and encourage their involvement through out the year. We look forward to see the dads back on campus soon.
