Superintendent's Brief

SUPERINTENDENT'S BRIEF

Good afternoon,

I realize everyone has been busy and that you're ready to move on with the long weekend. There is no school and district offices are closed on Monday, May 29 in observance of Memorial Day which is a federal holiday to honor and mourn U.S. personnel who sacrificed their lives serving in the Armed Forces. Let's remember those who courageously gave their lives. I have a few things to recap and reminders to share.

We had many exciting events take place this week. First, if you missed Project Dance, held this week at the high school, check out the video. This was exciting, energetic performance and showcased the hard work and talent of our student dancers. Congratulations to a students and teachers on this fantastic performance.

On Wednesday morning, representatives from the district gathered with community leaders at Proctors for another SchenEquity community breakfast and guided discussion with keynote speaker Dr. Yolanda Caldwell. This work requires a commitment from the all corners of the community.

We are grateful for all in our community who continue to come to the table to discuss the work before us and how we partner to strengthen our community.
