The Office of Teaching and Learning is comprised of individuals dedicated to partnering with teachers and administrators to lead and inspire innovative instructional practices that promote meaningful learning experiences leading to positive outcomes for all students.
The Office of Teaching and Learning will accomplish this task through a series of high impact strategies that include:
Supporting and improving teacher capacity to support students with pedagogical and content rich professional learning opportunities and coaching support;
Enhancing instruction by providing rigorous, high-quality standards aligned curricula that is grade level appropriate and culturally and linguistically responsive;
Using data to inform and differentiate instruction for all learners, specifically as it relates to our multilingual learners and our students with disabilities;
Engaging students by providing windows of opportunity to enriching curriculum, both formal and informal
Providing meaningful and engaging extended learning opportunities for students.
By implementing these high impact strategies, we will see Schenectady Rise.
