The Smart Schools Bond Act was approved by New York voters in 2014 authorizing $2 billion of bonds to finance educational technology and infrastructure improvements. The Schenectady City School District's 2024 Smart School proposal, totaling $6,220,000 was presented and accepted by the Board of Education on March 20, 2024. The 30-day comment period is open.
