There are three Board of Education seats up for election on May 19, 2026
In order to get on the ballot, a person must:
Reside in the school district for at least one year immediately preceding the election.
Be a qualified voter of the district.
Not be an employee of the Schenectady City School District.
Present at least 100 legible signatures.
A candidate affidavit must be completed.
If you are interested in running for a seat in 2026,
petitions are due April 29, 2026 by 5 p.m.
