Abandonware

The Blue Roses Theatre Company is excited to announce the first staged production of ABANDONWARE: A NEW PLAY by Joseph Ahmed. The story follows Ava, an introverted teenager, who has been streaming herself playing retro video games online and people are starting to tune in. As her online community grows, she’s shaken by the discovery that her (estranged) and (dead) father used to make video games when he was her age. And she’s…in one of them? Of course she’s going to play it. Just once. Okay, maybe a lot more than once.

Performances are Thursday and Friday, February 5th and 6th, at 7:00pm and Saturday, February 7th, at 2:00pm and 7:00pm in the William W. Ziskin Black Box Theater at SHS. Please see the attached poster for more information!

Students in the cast of ABANDONWARE had the opportunity to work with playwright Joseph Ahmed in December, helping develop the characters and the visual elements of the play. Mr. Ahmed will join the cast and crew for a talkback immediately following the Opening Night performance on February 5th.
