What is the camp?
The camp is open to students entering grades 3-5 who are interested in musical theater.
Students will learn acting, singing, dancing, and stagecraft skills.
The camp will culminate in a performance of a short musical called Go Fish by John Jacobson & John Higgins.
When and where will the camp take place?
The camp is part of the Extended Day Program of the Summer Enrichment Camp.
The camp will take place at Schenectady High School on weekdays from July 7-August 1, 2025, from 2:30pm-5:30pm.
The final performance will take place on Friday, August 1, at 6:00pm.
Will transportation be provided?
Students will be bussed from their Summer Enrichment Day Program to Schenectady High School (SHS) for camp each day.
Students not enrolled in the Summer Enrichment Program will not have district transportation to camp, but may still attend if they secure their own transportation.
Students will need to be picked up at Door 8 at SHS at 5:30pm each day following camp.
Transportation is not provided home after camp.
Snack and dinner will be provided each day.
Success of the final performance will be dependent on student attendance at camp. Staff will only have time to teach everything once, so please make every effort to ensure your camper attends every day.
Who is running the camp?
The camp is run by Schenectady High School theatre teacher and Blue Roses Theatre Company director Leia Depeche, Blue Roses Theatre Company members, and recent SHS graduates.
