On Friday, our Superintendent Dr. Carlos Cotto received the Community Impact Award at the City of Schenectady Fair Housing Luncheon, an honor recognizing an individual whose passion for community engagement empowers families to understand their rights and embrace fair housing principles. 🎬 Sign up for SEP Theatre Camp
The SEP Theatre Camp is open to students entering grades 3-5 in fall 2025. The camp is meant for students interested in Musical Theatre performance. Students will learn acting, singing, dancing, and stagecraft skills. The camp will culminate in a performance of 🐠 Go Fish the musical 🐠
🗓The camp will run as part of the Extended Day Program of the Summer Enrichment Program. The camp will take place at Schenectady High School on weekdays from July 7th-August 1st, 2025 from 2:30 - 5:30pm.
🚌 Students will be bussed from their Summer Enrichment Day Program to SHS for camp each day. SCSD cannot provide transportation to SHS for students not enrolled in the Summer Enrichment Program. Students not involved in the Summer Enrichment Program will need to be dropped off at SHS Door 8 at 2:30pm each day. All campers must be picked up at 5:30 each day, there is no transportation home.
🥪 All students will receive snack and dinner each day they attend camp.

🗓 Schenectady residents will vote on the budget and elect two members to the Board of Education on May 20, 2025.
📈 The proposed budget reflects a $17,782,846 or 6.4% increase over the current year
🚫 No increase in the tax levy for 7th consecutive year.
🍎 The proposal also includes all existing programs, services, and staffing.
⏰ Polls are open 12 - 9 p.m.

This stunning artwork was created by over 100 Schenectady High students with Artist-in-Residence Marica Minori! 🔥 Fired in a wood kiln at 2340°F, its shine comes from melted ash and dancing flames—no glaze needed! Our students are so talented!







🐠🐙 At Hamilton yesterday, our students had an amazing opportunity to learn from sea-life experts from Via Port Aquarium! They even got to meet some incredible sea creatures up close. It was such a cool and unforgettable experience! 🐙🦀
