Thurs., 10/3: No School/District Offices Closed (Rosh Hashanah)
Fri., 10/4: Emergency Early Release Drill - All students will be dismissed from school 15 minutes earlier than usual. Buses will be dropping kids at stops earlier than usual. If you pick your child up from school, please arrive 15 minutes earlier.

🦺Touch a Truck
Students visited more than a dozen stations where National Grid workers showcased their skills and guided them through exercises ranging from handling live wires to operating heavy equipment during the annual Touch a Truck and Career Day.

🚨 At last week's Board of Education Meeting, the board approved a resolution designating Thursday, October 3 as a holiday. In addition to no school for students and teachers, all district offices will be closed and all staff will be off.

Touch a Truck Field trip to National Grid with SHS, Big Picture Schenectady and City as our Campus. Students learned all about careers in the trades and career opportunities right here locally.










📸No Hate Tour at SHS
The No Hate Tour uses the energy and excitement of action sports to deliver critical bullying prevention information to students. The program features top BMX stars performing high-energy action sports shows while speaking to the students about their own experiences with bullying, inclusion, kindness, mental health awareness, and more.

🍏 The New York State Council Of School Superintendents held its Fall Leadership Summit in Saratoga this week. Colleen Keough, a second grade teacher from Hamilton Elementary School, was recognized at the event for recently being named NYS Teacher of the Year 🍏


Just a reminder the listening session for SHS parents, guardians, and caregivers will be held tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 6 p.m.!
