NYGEAR UP team members are working with some of our rising 9th graders in the Summer Mentoring Program. Mr. Kisseloff and Mrs. Bogue from MPMS meet with them at the Boys and Girls Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
NYGEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is a federal initiative designed to increase the number of students who are prepared to enter and excel in postsecondary education.

Rising 3rd through 5th grade students in the Schenectady Summer Theatre Camp are excited to announce their performance of Swamped the musical on Friday, August 2nd, at 7:00pm in the William W. Ziskin Black Box Theater at Schenectady High School.


New York State School Boards Association recently hosted the Leadership in Education Event. SCSD Board President Rivera, Superintendent Cotto and SHS students Joyce Akhelumele, Nayda Fernandez, Jahnyce Sotomayor spoke during a panel discussion about amplifying student voice.
