-When you listen carefully to your friend without interrupting, you are being mindful
-When you notice how you are feeling and take deep breaths to calm down, you are being mindful

Each May, National Speech-Language-Hearing Month provides an opportunity to raise awareness about communication disorders and the role of ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) members in providing life-altering treatment.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. This month reminds us to reach out to loved ones and provide support to colleagues, friends and family who may be struggling in silence – but also a reminder to care for ourselves. By simply starting a conversation and providing words of encouragement, kindness and help, you can make the difference for someone at work, at home, in your community – or even for yourself. ❤️ #MHAM2025

Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, celebrated annually in May, recognizes the contributions and rich heritage of AANHPI communities to American history, society, and culture.
