John Perreault, Principal of Woodlawn Elementary School

John Perreault [Per-Row] is the Building Principal of Woodlawn Elementary School and joined the Wildcats in 2016. 

Mr. Perreault began his educational career as a social studies teacher in middle and high school. Later he would move into leadership roles as a junior/senior high school assistant principal, middle school principal, pre-K-8 principal before becoming the building principal at Woodlawn. 

In addition to these leadership roles, Mr. Perreault spent time working with a research team traveling to schools on the east and west coasts that were pioneering personalized learning and blended learning. During this time, he attended seminars in leadership at the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, N.C.   

Mr. Perreault earned a Bachelor's Degree in History (and with a few courses short of a degree in music performance) from Plattsburgh State, a Masters in Teaching from Union Graduate College, and a Masters in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton. He hopes to begin pursuing his doctorate (a personal goal from when he was a high school student) in the next few years.
