Schenectady CSD is looking forward to deepening our engagement with NYSASCD at the governance level and continuing our vital advocacy with Commissioner Rosa. All with the purpose of supporting our students and students across NYS.🛡️✨

Hosted at Ballston Spa High School, this event brought together the top musicians from 16 school districts across the Capital Region. After two days of intensive rehearsals, our students delivered a truly fantastic concert performance. We are so proud of your hard work and dedication! 👏✨

The SCSD budget hearing will take place on May 6, followed by the budget vote on May 19, which features a 0% tax levy increase for the eighth consecutive year. This year's budget also includes three facility propositions.
The first of these three facility propositions is 1080 Catalyn Street, a proposed new hub for our Operations and Maintenance team. This acquisition allows the team to move out of Mont Pleasant Middle School, removing industrial materials from the building and opening up valuable educational space for our students. To learn more about Proposition 1, please visit schenectadyschools.org/page/2026-2027budget. 💰📉
