Have a great recess!

Whether you’re heading out on an adventure, hitting the slopes, or perfecting the art of the "staycation" on your couch, we hope you take this time to recharge and disconnect.
Enjoy the break, everyone!
Reminder: District offices will be closed on Monday, February 16 for Presidents Day!
Classes resume on February 23.

Tonight is the night. As we celebrate Senior Night, we honor the dedication, sweat, and leadership of our Boys Varsity Basketball seniors. These athletes have left it on the court all season, and tonight, we play for them.

💖 Valentines for Vets took place this week at Pleasant Valley Elementary. Students created handmade cards, wrote messages to veterans from Schenectady and had a chance to personally deliver them.

A huge thanks to owner Chris Quereau for sharing his journey of scaling a solo venture into a thriving agency and for reminding our students that setting yearly goals is the secret sauce to success! 📈 #CTEMonth

Reading isn’t just a school subject. It’s the foundation for everything. From understanding a bus schedule to coding a new app, literacy is the tool that empowers our students to navigate the world.
Let's work together to ensure every Schenectady student become a confident reader. Whether it’s 20 minutes of reading at home or exploring the school library, every page turned is a step toward a brighter future.
How you can help today:
> Ask your child about the best thing they read this week.
> Visit the local library together.
> Model the habit—let them see you reading, too!

A Sticky Situation for a Great Cause
We know that being in school every day is the first step toward student success, and at Yates Elementary, they found a very "engaging" way to prove it. To celebrate the results of their recent Attendance Challenge, students got to have a little fun at the expense of their principal, Mr. Sloan.
The winning class from each grade level earned the unique honor of taping Mr. Sloan to the wall. To top it off, the top three classes in the school got to choose a student representative to deliver a pie to his face.
