We saw fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, godfathers and older brothers. Everyone has a purpose in a child's life! We appreciate you all. Please remind your child to always report anything that seems suspicious to a trusted adult, whether it's a parent, teacher, or police officer. Having these conversations can give them the confidence to respond safely in any situation.

Police determined that the reported incident on September 8 at Craig Street and Delamont Avenue is unfounded.

The child described the individual as a Black male with a beard, wearing all black clothing.
Detectives are working to identify potential witnesses and review surveillance footage from the
area.
Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to contact the Schenectady Police
Department’s Detective Division at 518-382-5200 Ext 5245 or provide information
