Americans of Arab heritage have advanced the nation’s achievements in diplomacy, science, technology, as well as in art and culture.

There is no school on Monday in observance of Eid al-Fitr. District offices will be closed. Eid is an important Islamic festival that celebrates the end of Ramadan—the holy month of fasting. Eid al-Fitr means "the breaking of the fast” in Arabic.

World Down Syndrome Day- The 21st day of March was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome.
