Our AIS teacher, Ms. Lamica, is seen above posing for a picture with our Student Council. She has been teaching in Schenectady for 19 years and loves how each year is a new adventure. Ms. Lamica enjoys planning field trips and fun events for all of our students. “I am so thankful to spend my days with the students and staff at Yates!”

Muzzi has been teaching for 7 years; all of them at Yates. "I love Yates because we’re a family; every student and staff member know one another and it makes for an awesome community". Fun Fact: Mrs. Muzzi became a mom this year and is excited to celebrate her first Mother’s Day.

Meet Katie Hunter, Kindergarten teacher at Yates. Ms. Hunter has taught special education for several years before coming to Yates to teach some of our youngest learners! "I love Yates because of the kids, staff and families! It feels like home!"

Project ACES Day was started by Len Saunders in 1989 to encourage children around the country to exercise together. Project ACES Day perfectly lines up with National Physical Fitness and Sports Month and America's National Physical Education Week.

Kim Enlow has been a para at Yates for over 20 years. She has brought her positive attitude and laughter to several positions around the building including the main office, special education para, and in the sensory room where she built a safe and interactive environment for students. "Yates is my family that I can always count on!"
